Medieval poets said that love abides in the lover’s glance, and proverbs remind us that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," and "A picture is worth a thousand words."
I believe there are two ways of representing ourselves visually: through images of self (portraits, self-portraits, photographs), and through images of other than self. What interests and captures our eye tells much about us.
I have taken these photos through the years, as a complete amateur, and continue to do so. They do reveal much about me, and what I find fascinating. It will be evident that there are no human characters on the scene: but to a writer, everything is a character...
